LIVE Goalie IQ
These next few weeks are hard on everyone. We are out of routine and are stuck inside WAY more than we are used to. It is especially hard on kids that are used to playing sports, going to school and being around “their people”. We’ve been trying to find a way to fill a bit of the time during your/their day AND also let them continue on their path of learning the position of goaltending. One of the things I do with our pro and college goalies is video review of their games and video clips of other goalies. You can learn a lot by watching other goalies. They still make mistakes, and sometimes they WOW us. The position is constantly evolving and typically starts at the NHL level and then trickles down to the lower levels. We saw this with RVH. The next evolution of goaltending is happening right now, so let’s sit down and chat about it. We are going to be setting up group video conference calls, in which we will select one pro goalie per session, I will break down some of their similarities and differences between other goalies, what makes them unique. Over the course of the week, we will see trends, and these trends are what lead to the evolution of goaltending. We are offering two sessions. New dates TBA.
